Beauty Points — Groovalicious Rewards

One cannot say that I do not run the full spectrum with my Groovalicious Gotta Gets…It went from fab mompreneur totes to QR scanners in the last 2 weeks.

Well, this week it is all about beauty.  As moms, mompreneurs, working moms, career moms, women entrepreneurs…no matter what we call ourselves, we all have those specific beauty & skin care products that we MUST-HAVE, cannot live without, and swear by!  I consider myself barely recognizable without my under eye concealer and glimmer blush.  Women can find amazing beauty essentials in department stores, Target, and Etsy (to name a few).  However, over the last 2 years, I have grown increasingly loyal to Sephora.

First of all, just entering Sephora is like a little kid walking into an all you can eat candy buffet. The choices are never-ending at Sephora, and if I could, I would spend hours just smelling, testing, sampling and of course, buying.

The reason why I am so fond of Sephora is they have an awesome customer rewards program – Sephora Beauty Insider!

It is totally free to sign up, and for every dollar you spend at Sephora, you earn a point! After so many points, you can receive little prizes which are always amazing.  They track your points with your email, so if you do not have your card — NO PROBLEM (which frequently happens to me).  Also, if you do not live near a Sephora or cannot find the time, shopping online is easy AND as soon as you enter your email – Poof! your points are there.

For traveling moms, the giveaways make excellent travel companions.  Often, the giveaways include a FULL SIZE item! Not to mention, you always get free samples at Sephora, even when shopping online!

Yesterday, I placed an online order  for a favorite skin care item of mine – Fresh Soy Facial Cleanser – which I came to love through one of the Sephora giveaways.  It was a breeze, and I was able to choose 3 free samples!

Of course, it was thrilling to rack up a few more points, and that is why I love Sephora Beauty Insider… absolute must and a Groovalicious Gotta Get.

(editor’s note — this is my own personal opinion, and I was not provided any incentive to promote Sephora other than I love their customer service and Beauty Insider points)

Do you have a favorite beauty product — DO Share!  RB

Rachel I agree they have a great program. Unfortunately I have incredibly sensitive / allergenic skin and 99% of beauty products don’t play well with my skin. Since I also inherited my mothers dry skin (it can crack in the winter!) my go to beauty product is Cetaphil Lotion.

Thanks Nicole for the suggestion — I also like Cetaphil cleanser! I use it regularly! Rachel

Well, I think I’m probably a lot older than most everyone here. But, I am always looking for good beauty tips and especially those for the over-40 woman. I think one of my personal favorites is the Neutrogena Build-a-Tan specifically for faces. It works, and most importantly for me, it gives my face a nice healthy ‘glow’ of color so I don’t always have to wear ‘foundation’ makeup, which is a very ‘risky’ practice for us older women (if you pick the wrong foundation, it just ‘cakes’ in our wrinkles and we look worse, not better). The Beauty Insider points have been accumulating for over a year and I’m waiting on something that I actually USE to be available at the checkout counter. Faves are natural glosses by Tarte, natural foundation & blush by Bare Minerals, and Carol’s Daughter scrubs…oh yeah, and how could I forget my all-time favorite perfume, Hanae Mori??!!
