where the heck is the MOJO?

If you did not hear, this Friday will be the ONE year anniversary of this blog!  I cannot believe it.  What started out as just a personal rambling of mine continues to grow as a major resource for moms everywhere who want to get their MOJO back!  Moms in transition, moms of school age kids, moms of tweens all searching for the secret MOJO source.

I still do not know where that MOJO goes?  Possibly on a short vacation (Vegas more than likely)?  I do know that you can find it and when you do, the possibilities are endless.

This whole journey started last October as I was smacked in the face with the reality of being a MOM to a double-digit kid – YIKES!  I knew that my boys would continue to need me well into their teens (20’s?), but I also knew that I needed to do what my friend Brian says, ‘sh** or get off the pot‘ (of course, he is a ‘man’ complete with potty reference).

no, it was not gourmet french toast for breakfast

I knew the statement was true, but in a more femme way, it was time for me to ‘do something, to gain something.’  I will laugh forever about announcing over breakfast that I was starting a business.

That is exactly what I did — with very few believing that it was possible, I started a business.

You ask what that business is?  I am an inventor with a mystery ‘braduct’ launching next year.  That is right, inventing is a business.  If you do not treat inventing like a business, it is nothing more than a hobby.  AND, if you are in inventing, you know all too well that there is too much money put into inventing for it to be just a hobby.

Business plans are necessary, sacrifice and discipline a must, and a tough morale is mandatory when inventing.  Make your plan, assemble you team, set your schedule, and never fall so in love with your idea that you misconstrue love with projected sales.

I did not mean for this blog post to take the direction of an inventing for dummies guide, but I guess it did….

Inventing is just one way that I got my groove back…..Writing and maintaining Back’nGrooveMom became another.  In the beginning, it was just friends and family who were readers…now I am not sure if they even read it anymore.  Well, my mom does.  Through this blog is how I connected with so many of you MOMS out there…MOMS in the throes of being MOMS and looking for the everlasting MOJO source.

Thanks for joining on my ride and I promise to continue to give you an all-access pass to getting my groove back.

First step in locating your MOJO is to think about WHO inspires you?

thank you! from the bottom of my heart

Typically, those that inspire also act as a catalyst for you to ‘sh** and get off the pot’ or ‘do something to gain something’ – however, you want to think about it!

My list is coming up in honor of the anniversary (thank goodness for all the blogaversary hoopla because my unbirthday in on Sunday) Rachel

Happy Anniversary Rachel! Without this blog and SUN we might not have connected either. I’m inspired by people who try to live their dreams, they aspire for more, both for themselves and for the people around them. There are many people in my life who inspire me, including you!, and I’m very thankful for each of them.
