The little alcove that I called home for the last year was getting a bit small and unruly. I do admit that as soon as I knew that I was moving upstairs, I really let things go…
Before heading upstairs, I was forced to sort through all the miscellaneous stuff accumulated in and around my desk. This included everything from an ‘Edward’ doll which was a gift from a friend to my old iPhone.
My goal for the new space was to mix a little of the old with a lot of new. Keeping the sunflowers (see below), adding a retro couch in this year’s Pantone Color of the Year – Tangerine Tango (thanks to CB2), and a brand new WHITE, feminine chair kicked this off. I need to get rid of that poster. Not sure where it came from anyway, but looking for something with a little POP.
Adding a few feminine pieces that don’t fit in with the rest of the house sweeten the place up for me! A funky MacKenzie Childs dish which was a gift from my mom is a perfect fit for my cards.
A little sweet treat glows on my desk.
Dogs are checking out the new arrangement and are very pleased. Do you think they like the Tangerine Tango?
Well, they needed a blanket to be more comfy.
Thanks for letting me share my new digs…Just a small, bright, femme place that I can call home to Back’nGrooveMom, however a BIG step in terms of growing my business. I am so excited to take my Skype consulting calls next week from the brand new bright and shiny space.
I must send a shout out and thanks to @tmistick who actually grew up in the house where we live now AND was so excited to hear that the one room we kept was her sister’s sunflower room. Hopefully, it brings lots of good juju.
I am sure that over the next few months, there will be many groovalicious gets acquired for my new space…until then…Rachel
