What is that outside my office window?
Oh, that is blue skies and the sun.
What do I hear?
What do I smell?
Know what this means? Spring is here. Finally. After what we can all agree was an exceptionally long winter and Punxsutawney Phil being waaaayyyy wrong, we are finally getting nice weather. I am officially washing and putting away the winter coats and chucking my UGGS in the back of the closet. Spring is here.
One day of warmer weather, and I am already eating more fruits and salads and walking the dogs more frequently. Summer is around the corner, and soon, it will be time for shorts and skirts (gasp).
Rushing from place to place whether it be work or family – related, dashing in and out of the cold, rushing in the shower, and hurrying up to get ready has wreaked havoc on my poor skin this winter. So, in addition to a little bit lighter eating, I need to get my skin glowing again.
I have a few new skin care favorites. Some from small, new and fresh companies and a couple from more established ones. The underlying notion is I am trying to be a little more natural about what I smooth all over my skin and look and smell good while doing it. If you are like me, you are going to be heading out to conferences in gorgeous locales soon … not to mention, a few spring and summer weddings. Time to get myself ready –
Here are a few of my most recent fav’s:
Hey Sugar, Lookin’ Good by Gilly’s Organics. An all natural body scrub with good stuff like cane sugar and organic avocado oil, made my a mom entrepreneur who discovered the recipe for other moms in mind.
fy22 Facial Scrub has just enough grit to make me feel like it is exfoliating my face, but it is also a bit creamy so I do not feel like I am taking off my whole face. In other words, it is just right.
EO Everyone Soap in Lavender and Aloe has quickly risen to the top of the charts for me. I love the wipes and hand sanitizer by EO, so it only makes sense that this new gentle, paraben-free, all-over body wash is a staple in my shower now.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Verbena Soap for when I am not in the mood for liquid body soap. This bar is sumptuous and decadent on my skin (and smells good, too). Additionally, L’ Occitane works directly with women’s collectives in Africa to get the Shea Butter.
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Tonic is an oldie but a goodie for me. I often try other toners, and always end up back at this one. The beachy-smell is only a bonus to the way it makes my skin tingle and shine.
Hope to see all you glowing soon … DO you have one to add to the list?
