As moms (and dads), we are constantly discussing the after-school dilemma. Where do the kiddos go when school lets out in the middle of the afternoon? Childcare options can be expensive and not always sufficient and/or reliable
Beside after-school care, summer break looms like a big, dark cloud for many working moms and dads.
In Pittsburgh, we are so lucky to have the Boys and Girls Club of Western PA, especially the Shadyside Branch. A little gem tucked away in the corner of the city, The Shadyside Boys & Girls Club serves a number of the surrounding neighborhoods and brings together kids from all different ethnicities and backgrounds. Providing after-school care, homework help, sports instruction, and summer break camps are just a couple of ways the club helps Pittsburgh families.
What is so unique about the Shadyside Boys & Girls Club is with a tiny little space in an urban setting, they give with such a big heart to many kids. I love it there, and it has been a tremendous experience for our family to be involved there. So, with summer break fast approaching, I am hosting an online Stella and Dot sale with 100% of the standard commission (25% of sales) back to the Club.
This money will be used to help improve facilities and equipment in order to make the club a fun, safe, and educational environment for the kids.
