Don’t make family movie night Despicable

Admit it.  Family movie night can be somewhat despicable.  Finding a flick to go to or rent that makes everyone in your gang happy is close to impossible.

I am not alone in this thinking.  On a recent GNO, we found ourselves talking about our kids (duh) and trading suggestions for movie night.  In many cases, if one movie was good for one member of the fam, it was not good for the other.

Despicable Me 2

Well, have no fear!  Despicable Me 2 is coming out and if my fam is any indicator, this is going to be a movie experience for ALL (In my opinion, of course).

Our gang loved Despicable Me the first time around, so we are all looking forward to the second one featuring Gru, the bad guy gone good (played by Steve Carell), and his cutie-pie minions.  I am excited to be attending the premiere in Pittsburgh, PA before the movie is officially released on June 27, 2013 at 7 p.m., and I am even more excited that FIVE lucky families get to attend with me!

Leave a comment below (in the official comment box NOT Facebook Connect), perhaps include a family favorite for movie night and FIVE families will be selected at random to receive a 4-pack of tickets to attend the premiere on 6.27.13 at 7 p.m. at the Cinemark Pittsburgh Mills 18 Theater.

Contest will be live for 24 hours.  Winners will be chosen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.

Disclaimer:  I was provided tickets to attend the premiere and giveaway, but all opnions here reflect my own.

(I just wish you all lived near by, so everyone could enter and come with me!)

I have a 3 year old son who is addicted to Tinkerbell. Netflix is our go to and we have been cycling through her movies every night for the past I can’t even remember how many days, haha. Our family favorite has to be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I think he’s pretty lucky to have parents that love cartoons, haha

Elliott loves Monsters, Inc. and is looking forward to Monsters University. As a family, we like anything Pixar.

We LOVE The Muppets, but Despicable Me and Monsters Inc. are right up there, too. We pull out the “couch bed” and munch on popcorn! 🙂
